It can be given standing work
A morning briefing, a weekly tidy, a nudge at the people who owe you money. Cory proposes the job and it sits there until you confirm it.
Who it is for.
You already have the app open
It answers where the conversation already is, so there is no extra app to open and no second place your notes end up.
You are not a developer
The setup has no terminal in it and nothing to generate. It exists so that somebody who has never opened one can run this.
You own a Mac that stays on
That machine is the whole trick. It is why Cory can open your files, and why it cannot help you when the Mac is off.
When it is the wrong answer.
- You do not have a Mac
- There is no Windows build and no Linux build, and nothing runs in the cloud on your behalf, and none of that is on a roadmap, because a Mac you own is what the product is.
- Your machine is rarely on
- It is a process on your Mac. Asleep, it holds the message instead of answering. A laptop that lives shut in a bag will not get you far.
- You want nothing to leave the machine, ever
- The free tier is close. Anything harder than the day-to-day goes out to be answered, and if that is a hard no, this is not the product.
- You need it on your phone alone
- Message it from your phone all day and it will answer, but the Mac at home is what actually opens the file, reads the calendar and writes the page. Without one there is nothing behind the reply.
